So many people are having trouble finding influencers.

It’s really not that hard.

You just are looking for the wrong thing.

Here’s the forbidden knowledge on how to find influencers.

It’s not a program, software or secret tool.

It’s a thinking system

It starts here.
When a fisherman goes fishing does he obsess over finding the pond that has only bass?

How silly you would look searching for a body of water named “Bass Pond.”

Exactly

So instead he finds a body of water that he knows has fish and is likely to have bass and other types too.
Now back to you.

Instagram is filled with ponds.

You are the fisherman.

Your ads, brand and website are the bait.
You don’t search Instagram for accounts named

“[niche name] lovers”
“30 year old moms”
“gold jewelry enthusiasts”

That’s pointless.
Instead you need to learn where your target hangs out and realize there will be some other targets around too, just not what your after.
I used to complain about their being no baby niche influencers on Instagram.

I look for accounts that were all about babies, I found a few but boy were they trash or spammy.

RIP store #1.

This where you are now.

Struggling to find your audience.
Here’s the epiphany that led me from $400 in the hole to $750 profit the day I got it right.
Instagram is the land filled with ponds.

You are the fisherman.

Your ads, branding and website are your bait.
When you are casting something a specific fish loves, you don’t worry about the other fish ignoring you.

Your bait speaks to exactly who you want to bite.
When marketing, your brand, product and ad’s job is to attract your target customer.

And repel the others.
Find ponds that have customers, most won’t care but you are after the few that do.

Here’s an example.

If you are selling baby products, don’t get obsessed with pages like this.

It might work but it’s pretty slim.

Meanwhile you should know some other things about your audience.

What do moms like?
What do they spend their time doing?

Well here are all immediate thoughts.

> Ellen
> Oprah
> Yoga
> Disney
> Parenting
Guess what those demographics are?

84% women, primarily between the ages of 25-44.

What does that mean?

Babies, settling down, discretionary income.

Obviously everyone in these audiences isn’t a mom but there sure is a decent percentage who are.

This is why your ads and brand is so important.

It will get seen by lots, a few will interact, the least will purchase.

Success.
You just found a broad pond and attracted exactly who you wanted.

Now repeat.
So in summary.

Find ponds (broad audience)
Target specific (ads, website, brand, big idea)

Apply this thought process towards finding influencers and you will make money.
The old way of dropshipping is dying.

The only ones who will survive are the ones who know how to make people cry and make people smile.
