This is a recap from watching and listening to #NnamdiKanu, IPOB leader’s most anticipated speech from the land of Israel, 6pm, 21/10/2018. The address lasted approximately 45mins. He’s indeed alive. I will recount what I got from the live broadcast. Follow the thread.
Army invaded his house on the 14th of September 2017. They came to kill or capture him. He was indeed preparing to go to court. But he said the government was afraid of the statement he made that he will bring 2m Biafrans to his next court appearance in Abuja to expose Nigeria.
In the negotiations, he specifically made two demands from government: either a “referendum or devolution” (his words),and the government was not forth coming with anything substantial. But instead came to kill him and in the process killed 28 people in the invasion of his house.
His position is that he couldn’t abide by the stringent bail conditions of a government which floats court orders and in return ask him to obey such restricting bail conditions. Given that the government itself from the Biafran point of view doesn’t legitimacy since it’s lawless!
He also said IPOB will not engage in any activities of the government like elections and cited that the north registers young children to rig the election. However. He didn’t specifically mention election boycott. And didn’t order any sit at home for Election Day!
He reiterated that he’s ready to continue the court litigations but the international committee must guarantee his safety before he returns to Nigeria. He thanked many people, organsations and countries including MOSSAD for their assistance.
