Donald Trump was right re: media last night. Sadly, political violence is probably going to get worse in this country. Our social contract is broken. The media helped break it. Mr. Trump is the product, not the cause. He's a dying Republic's last-ditch effort at self-governance.
Big Media has done more to stoke fear, ignorance, violence and hatred than a million Trump presidencies could ever stoke. Who are we kidding? Media didn't just report on fake crimes and conspiracy theories as fact for two years. They played an activist role in a soft coup.
It does not matter what Donald Trump says. It was never, and will never be, good enough for Big Media. He calls for unity on Election Night, @HillaryClinton couldn't compose herself to concede a clear defeat. Yet they criticize him for doing what every other POTUS-elect has done.
Donald Trump's Inaugural Address shouldn't have scared anyone except for K Street and their hack political class, a group of corrupt and immature little babies with power. And @HardballChris says he detects "Hitlarian" tones.
I keep going back to media coverage of these events for a reason. These are our traditions & they're central to our peaceful transition of power. But they never let up B/C they were too damn immature. The POTUS honeymoon period is very important for us to heal post-election.
And he is the only president in modern American history NOT to get a presidential honeymoon. Try to find another example. You won't find one. It's unprecedented, and it's dangerous. Instead of trying to listen to the voices of those who elected him, they marginalized them more.

P.S. The central idea is to win campaigns. Pre-DJT, these chronic losers were making big $$$ hand over fist. Never questioned, despite one loss after another. Along comes Trump & he made them look 1) like a waste of $$$; 2) tone deaf; & 3) incompetent. Hate is all they have left.
Cannot have self-governance if the permanent government is this institutionally corrupt & partisan. And the watchdogs are in bed with them. Doesn't work folks. Citizens have to be & believe they are the sovereign. They do not because they are not & haven't been for a long time.
Not to mention bogus stories Big Media has pushed to stoke racial tensions. That list is just too big for Twitter. "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" never happened folks. But a scary number of mediates still swear it did. Media didn't botch these stories. They pushed an alternate reality.
