On Friday, #Poland’s Gov will be in front of Court of Justice of EU arguing against Court’s interim order reinstating judges Gov is trying to depose. >
Polish Supreme Court has implemented CJEU order - but Gov is pretending judges can’t do that, see thread 2/
On Friday, CJEU should ask Polish Gov to explain itself:
- Why is Gov refusing to recognise the judges the Supreme Court has recognized?
- Why does Gov claim judges need recognition by people appointed under laws suspended by CJEU?
- Will Gov fully comply with order CJEU makes?

“Prevention” is what led to this (small number of) people risking their lives. But sure, let’s spend more money on that.
“Prevention” smashed up the Calais migrant town, where migrants had better chance of informed choices - where they could share info & be helped by informed NGOs.

Because immigration enforcers see info sharing as a threat, not a protection.
“Prevention” requires UK visas from people from countries where persecution is rife. So they can’t use regular planes, trains, boats or busses.

1/ Two most important features of ECJ VP order: its *immediate* suspensive effect re rules on forced retirement of SCt judges & its *retroactive* effect re SCt judges already dismissed on basis of these rules
2/ On the + side (that is if you believe in the #ruleoflaw): all previously “purged” SCt judges must be reinstated + current First President of SCt must remain in place (as per the Polish Constitution one may add)
