1. While we were busy fighting each other during Post Elections Violence, @UKenyatta was appointed Min. Local Govt on 8 Jan 2008. 9 days later, 150,000 acres in Marsabit were allocated to @LTWPOfficial. It gazetted by the Commissioner of Lands. Were we even aware?

2. In April '08, under the Coalition Govt, @orengo_james became Lands Minister. Chachu Ganya led an @LTWPOfficial delegation to him. He approved the further subdivision (into 2 titles) of the 150K acres WITHOUT any documentation. He signed a blank piece of paper!

3. Using Gitson Energy's work, @LTWPOfficial retrofitted its documentation. Why 2 titles for one venture? The wind farm sits on 40K acres. The 110K acres were used as collateral for the @AfDB_Group loan. The Office of the then PM @RailaOdinga should tell us more.

4. Meanwhile, Chachu, having eaten from @LTWPOfficial with no consideration for the local community, tried to extort bribes from Gitson Energy & another company, Kato-e (there is an email demanding Sh100M). Chachu punished Gitson in '12 via Bunge & also in court.

5. Gitson Energy, owned by a Kenyan who is also a US citizen, had to adhere to the US Foreign Corrupt Practices laws. Therefore, the kick backs, equity, cash bribes, etc would destroy the company. It was never an option.

6. WaKenya: The GoK (all the way to the top) remains the #1 extractor of bribes. Failure to adhere means sabotage, delays & cancellations. The cost of producing even CLEAN energy is so high that it is no longer an affordable alternative.

7. While we were distracting ourselves with politics leading up to the '13 elections, a luncheon at the Danish Amb's residence in '12 discussed "onerous clauses" in the @LTWPOfficial PPA. The burden is ours.

7. When the GoK plays favourites as it does with @LTWPOfficial; issues gazette notices for 1 title deed that magically become 2; issues letters of comfor, etc; & lobbies the UN & relevant diplomatic missions & DFIs, ask yourself WHO the REAL owners of LTWP are.
