1/ Last night, a conference audience heard from @carolecadwalla @peterjukes @Billbrowder @DamianCollins @DavidLammy & more how @facebook was used by Russia / #Brexit campaigns to falsify the referendum. Worse, UK Government is unwilling to open this up to proper investigation 
2/ Despite @DamianCollins and his @CommonsCMS team doing an incredible job to open up the issue and show how a mass of lies created at least a dubious campaign, Government is "in hock" to global business and unwilling to shift
3/ @DavidLammy called out the Government and @UKLabour who, for different reasons, are colluding unofficially - one in hock to business, the other old Russian ties - neither interested in following up and @CommonsJustice & other select committees have not raised a finger
@Billbrowder has managed to persuade six governments, incl UK, to bring in Magnitsky Acts and Germany/France now heading up one for EU. But, he is dismayed that UK Government, @NCA_UK in particular, is not interested in attacking the problem. Laws fine, implementation rubbish!
5/ @carolecadwalla with @peterjukes have carried out such an amazing investigation that continues but they are frustrated that HMG seems deaf to entreaties on the issue - incapable of action. Why? Clearly, #Brexit is at the centre and stymies progress as PM May doggedly goes on
6/ Great to see the incredible @JolyonMaugham present - coming back from Luxembourg to tell us that it is highly likely that we can revoke Art 50! Enormous credit to him on this. Down to MP's to make a stand or two in next few weeks!
7/ Yet, the feeling was one of enormous credit to journalists, a few great politicians and others (apologies for not mentioning all of them) who are, quite alone, attacking the intrigues of nations like Russia / Putin and their cronies like Farage / @Arron_banks
8/ There needs to be a CAMPAIGN - and a campaign strategy that pulls together the strands of resistance that are in place as a result of the great work done. Where are the @anticorruption and @Global_Witness equivalents that know what a great campaign is all about?
9/ sometimes, a journalist campaign works on its own, but this needs comprehensive Government response and the only way to do that is to drive a national campaign via an NGO or equivalent - contacts, strategy, funding, mission, people over and over again.....It IS that important!
10/ A shout out @openDemocracyUK who spoke last night - critical work on the money driving #Brexit - Great organisation doing great work! Also to @shahmiruk & his win over @the_tpa! Also, @chrisinsilico on Cambridge Analytica. So much great work that needs fulfilment!!!!!!
With @johnmcdonnellMP ft.com/content/c2a362… going for #PeoplesVote what an opportunity to lay the whole set of lies, Russian misinformation and UK cronies to the public, whilst calming fears about staying in EU against the damage of leaving!
