Today, #Israel eliminated a number of #Hezbollah attack tunnels in Op. #NorthernShield. The tunnels were devised for one purpose & one purpose only - to infiltrate Israel to commit acts of terror.

Here is a brief refresher about this #Iran-backed terror group ⤵️

1. Founded in 1985, make no mistake about it, #Hezbollah is a genocidal jihadist terrorist organisation, created, funded and instructed at the behest of the Iranian regime. #NorthernShield

2. #Hezbollah’s primary goal is not only the elimination of the State of Israel, but Jews worldwide.

Just read Hezbollah’s ‘Manifesto’, which clearly states: “Our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated.”

3. In 2002, Hassan Nasrallah, #Hezbollah Secretary-General, stated “if Jews all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of chasing after them worldwide.” #NorthernShield

4. Since end of 2006 Lebanon War, #Hezbollah has amassed over 125,000 mostly Iran-made high precision rockets, aimed at the heart of Israel.

This is also in flagrant contravention of UNSR Resolution 1701, which required the terror group to disarm after the war. #NorthernShield

5. Under Iran’s guidance, #Hezbollah has also become one of the key backers of the Assad regime in Syria, while according to Forbes (bit.ly/2QazNSh), is today also the richest terror organisation in the world, with a massive fortune over $1 billion.

6. #Hezbollah’s victims however have not been limited only to Jews and Israelis, with the Shiite terror group leaving a devastating Iranian path of death and destruction the world over, including Europe (e.g. 2012 Bulgaria bus bombing).

7. There are many states, however – most notably EU, that still maintain an artificial distinction between #Hezbollah’s ‘military’ and ‘political’ wings. However, even Hezbollah themselves have dismissed this separation.

8. Naim Qassem, Hezbollah’s Deputy Leader, has said: “Hezbollah has a single leadership”, reinforcing that “the same leadership that directs the parliamentary and government work also leads jihad actions in the struggle against Israel.”

9. Maintaining this superficial distinction has only further emboldened #Hezbollah, providing it legitimacy and fundraising opportunities, while giving Iran a stronger foothold to carry out their destabilising and expansionist activities in the region.

10. Even the Arab League makes no such distinction, deeming the entire #Hezbollah group a terrorist organisation.

11. Winston Churchill famously said, “an appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile hoping it will eat him last.”

The int'l community, including UN and EU must - once and for all - end this appeasement of #Iran and finally ban #Hezbollah entirely.

12. Israel, like any sovereign nation, has the inalienable right to take whatever action necessary to stop the threat of terror from #Hezbollah.

However, the int'l community must also hold Iran & Hezbollah to account!
