1. Trump Wiped the Floor with Chuck and Nancy

Democrats don't even know it. Chuck was so consumed with getting blamed for govt shutdown. Trump said, "I won't blame you. I will take the blame." There! In that moment, he made Chuck look so puny and unworthy. That's how it's done!

2. Trump changed the game completely on Democrats by saying, "I will take the mantle of shutting down the govt -- for border security." Chuck and Nancy will only wake up tomorrow morning realizing what just happened.

3. Trump changed the blame game from "Who shut down the govt?" to "Who will go to the mat for border security?" Democrats can protest all they want. They can howl "But, but, but, ... we support border security too!" all day long, but it won't matter. It's just not their brand.

4. When it comes to actual pain for the people from shutting down the govt, here's the dirty secret. There won't be any. President has enormous powers to re-prioritize federal spending. He can always do it in a way that people will hardly notice a govt shutdown.

5. All essential services are always exempt in any case. And after all, govt, for the most part, shuts down every weekend, and nobody notices. It's only the Dem presidents who shut down govt in a way that causes people maximum pain, because they want to, for political purposes.

6. Remember, Obama shut down White House tours for children for six months because he claimed he couldn't re-prioritize spending from other more urgent programs, while money was spent on exploring the social context of stigma among transgender people ... in Nepal. And golf!

7. So sit back, and relax! And be amused reading about all the chatter on social media and in MSM, about how Chuck and Nancy "schooled" Trump today, how they turned the tables on him as he insisted on public negotiation. Oh, well! We shall see.
