But there’s a bigger policy challenge:
If we continue to adopt #Bushama polices (aka “catch & release”), illegal migrants will use the family loophole to sneak in & stay.
Trump’s approach, on the other hand, tears apart some families fleeing the chaos of drug wars & corruption.

Keeping families together in a US facility seems an obvious, humane solution. But even that is imperfect.

One obvious (and expensive) solution is finding ways to fix Central America so people stop fleeing to the US altogether.
