This is the nicest tweet I have ever seen from Nadine Dorries.
However, when I read this, I can't help thinking about all the people who will not have recess, who won't be able to restore their equilibrium, & whose wonderful, happy Christmas with their family might be their last.
I'm thinking of the people who do no know where they will be in 2019, who do not know if they will be able to stay together, who might have to choose between their parents and their children, who do not know if they'll still have a job or the drugs they or their love ones need.
I'm thinking of all the people who were already too poor to enjoy Christmas, and of all those who soon might be.
But, hey; I wish you a Merry Christmas... and a Miracle Next Year.

A few things on Seaborne Freight (UK), the company that was awarded a few millions to run a new ferry service.
(*Not* to be mistaken with Seaborne Group Seaborne Freight UK division -despite the lazy website handling-, not running ferries but shipping a lot of stuff worldwide.)

Seaborne freight is to use 3 ferries.
One comes from the firm that had French Seaborne Freight director on board & sank -The first one (Seafrance), not My Ferry Link-replacing the sunk one- that also had French Seaborne Freight director on board & sank.

Ten years later, Shyla is almost close to realising her father’s dream. She is doing her nursing course, and she needs help. As a society that sent her father down the sewers, I think it is our responsibility to see that she becomes a nurse.
When I met her again last month, Shyla was exuding confidence. “I will soon be a nurse and if you need anything, call me over” she told me and i cant wait.
Shyla’s course fee for third year comes close to Rs 1 lakh. I already have someone pledging Rs 10,000.

Read Taleb’s new-ish book “Skin in the Game” this past week. Here are my top highlights/underlines, along with my (less valuable) accompanying notes. Curious what others took away.

Why it’s important to keep asking “why” until you reduce the macro to the micro. Reduces the hiding places of fools.
