Thinking of building a 100% meditational 🙏 mobile game where your gameplay syncs with the music with visual cues to practice meditational/mindfulness techniques

✨ Blank Slate. Let's go.

Naive Objectives:
👀 Visual appeal. Get the eyes glued.
🎼 Audio/visual cues
🚥 Basic movement controls
🛣 Endless scroller
I want to give focus to the character. The movement of the character represents the state of the player's current mindset. i.e. slow down when the player starts to focus more, speed up when it demands focus.

The best way to represent this is by adding a 3rd person camera control

✨ Next: Adding limitation bounds to the screen to stop the player from flying out of bounds. You hate to see that in a youtube fail compilation video...
Added a meditation guide AI that triggers instructions relative to the movement of the player. Player restless = cue_instruction().

💡Idea is to bring the focus back to the primary targets

Next challenge is to procedurally generate geometric targets the player can fly through.

Added a little genie kid on top of the block. It can be assumed that we are inside this kid's dream 🤔 I love how a narrative is being formed slowly.

Every single thing in this game so far is procedurally generated. The character is chilling in the middle of a giant void and the experience is built on the fly when the player starts the journey.

Now animating the leg swing animation of Hope, or as I like to call it "Hope's Chill Pose" 😎 It's an excruciatingly slow process to animate but so far I'm loving Unity's animation timeline controls #madewithunity #unity

Added random rainfall with lightning effects and of course, soothing thunderstorm sounds 🌧

🌏 Added procedurally generated dream planets. These are randomly placed at different locations of the journey. Next, I'm thinking of adding dream creatures that fly in the background 🤔
Added Dream Monuments 🏯 The player is constantly reminded that they are within Hope's dream. These monuments come in different shapes and colors and they are a pleasant surprise :)

Just completed the entire game and the story line. Starting beta tests ✅🎮
After playtesting, we realized that the game was pretty monotonous and boring. So I rewrote some of the mechanics. Now there's an actual 'game' to be played. Avoiding these dream cubes became one of the objectives. Adds a little excitement while still maintaining the 'dream' feel
Dream wall mechanics are working! This is going to be fun!
Super duper excited to share this update. Been working on this new update since yesterday. I've added various obstacles in Hope's path to add some fun to the game 🚧
