This remains true. We haven’t seen him actually cornered yet.
We really ought to keep in mind that Donald Trump commands:

•The military
•Nuclear weapons
•A throng of authoritarian-loving, violence-worshipping true believers who have opted to exist in an alternate reality
•A TV channel that broadcasts that alternate reality nationally.
Do you think Donald Trump is above trying to seize the government using the military?

Do you think he'd lose his 40% support if he did?
Do you think he'd lose Fox News if he did?

Because I don't.
Do you think, Donald Trump is above launching nuclear weapons as a distraction?

Do you think he'd lose his 40% support if he did?
Do you think he'd lose Fox News if he did?

Because I don't.
Do you think, in the event the military refuses to be used in such a way, Trump wouldn't call on his army of well-armed hate trolls to attack?

Do you think they wouldn't do so, if he did?

Because I'm only talking about an escalation of what's already happening.
I think if Donald Trump announced he was nuking San Francisco and then did it, he'd lose 8 points in his approval poll, and the next weekend Chuck Todd would ask Newt Gingrich if it's an abuse of presidential power to nuke an American city, and Newt would say no, it is not.
I'm kidding about the last one, but honestly only a little.

The point: Donald Trump honestly doesn't believe anyone exists but himself, and he will very obviously do anything to hold on to his vast power. He's dangerous as hell, and everyone who enables him enhances that danger.
The point: We should not consider Trump's demise a done deal. He does not play by any rules.
The point: IF we get Trump out, we must never forget those who took his side. Giving such a man such power risks human life on the planet. Betrayal on this level requires consequence.
"With the sudden loss of the bay-area electorate, are California's electoral votes in play for Trump in 2020? We'll hear more after the break."
I hope I'm wrong, but I try to imagine Donald Trump leaving office peacefully following an election loss or a Congressional vote to remove, and I simply cannot imagine that.
Nor does this particularly distinguish him from his party.

Think about the political vandalism Republicans in Wisconsin and Michigan and North Carolina have enacted following election losses.

Think what sorts of things Trump would do in a lame duck session.

The GOP needs to go
I don’t feel a bit lucky. My country has gone insane.

This comment seems to take my “never forget” meaning I intend retributive violence or punishment.

No. I mean consequence. The consequence of memory.

We’ll remember.
