@DannoVanno He didn’t accept any PAC money prior to his 2016 election. He has a 95% voting score from the conservation league. Supporting natural gas as a bridge fuel is not evidence of not being strong on the environment. It is 100% the solution as someone in the industry
@DannoVanno “Donors included 24 executives, who gave a combined total of $35,125.” That is 35k out of the 69 million he raised from executives. The guy is a Texan - he will raise money from oil and gas employees. Furthermore- I personally know many of the executives on that list.
@DannoVanno They are Democrats, believers in climate change and passionately working within the industry to combat it. Climate change is a global problem and US nat gas can displace oil/coal for power generation in poor countries
@DannoVanno Also- your article criticizes CAP for taking money from fossil fuel company Pacific gas and electric. They are a utility that doesn’t own generation assets. These articles view any company which is classified as in the energy industry as some vile polluter and that is just false
@DannoVanno But all of this misses my original point. The guy raised $69m!!! Without taking money from PACs. With the Max individual donation at $2,700, he took money from a lot of people! And they work in a variety of industries. Picking on him for less than 1% is stupid, and insinuating
@DannoVanno The money came from PACs or political action groups is disingenuous, and counterproductive for anyone who is trying to actually beat Trump in 2020
