you aren't going to "own" them like this. it's like if someone walked up to you and said "oh, you SAY you want to destroy capitalism, but I saw you wear a BLUE SHIRT!" to you, it's just gibberish. It's absolute nonsense.
it's extremely normal and sensible to most conservative men that as soon as a woman does anything the least bit "wild" she becomes a Party Girl, marked for life, and loses all access to the public stage. the only life paths are "housewife" or maybe "real estate agent"
the only way to avoid this is to have been cold and severe forever, because the only powerful women they ever saw (some of their mothers) were like that. this is an arbitrary system of values but internally consistent and they think it makes perfect sense.
on the one hand, yes, they'll say anything to win, but on the other, I think most of them actually believe this is cut and dry. they are that shallow and their values are that unexamined, it seems obvious to them that this woman is not cut out for power.
obviously all of this is desperately wrong but i don't know how you can post "OMG THE HYPOCRISY" like... have you just *never* heard these people speak? they're horrible, but they aren't hypocrites nearly as often as they're just horrible.
yeah men (particularly conservative men) will say anything to get what they want when they're angry but I think it's critical to recognize when that isn't what's happening, and we're just seeing their actual morals stated plainly
men have *incredibly* convoluted systems of morality, even for themselves. reams and reams and reams of extremely nuanced rules about what is and isn't appropriate. this shit 
men are brought up to be incredibly attuned to all deviation from Normal Behavior and they think everyone feels the same sense of revulsion they do when a woman speaks Out Of Turn
i don't know exactly what to do with this information but spinning your wheels by yelling about THE HYPOCRISY is not it. the problem is not that new rules are being made up on the spot, it's that the rules are extremely old and ingrained and unspoken
