May insisted on impossible red lines, claimed the complex was simple and failed to engage either allies or opponents. Result is stinging indictment of her own personal flaws. She can’t deliver a Brexit to suit anyone and can’t offer leadership the country needs.

1/ May will seek meaningless concessions which will be meaningfully thrashed

2/ We extend A50

3/ May’s deal can only pass via second ref

That leaves Norway Plus, which requires both current withdrawal deal & vast surrender of power, or a second vote. No-deal, no way
Meanwhile both the parties are paralysed by their own policies. May’s only idea is to repackage Plan A as Plan B. Corbyn’s only idea is to call repeated motions of no-confidence. They must both accept the only viable way out: to return the power and decision back to the people.

Good speech from Corbyn. Gov promised a trade deal ready to implement but future relationship political declaration takes us into a blindfold Brexit. The only thing that’s guaranteed is a backstop which ties us to EU rules without any say whatsoever. Less prosperity, less control
Except for the bit where he says the withdrawal agreement might be reopened, obviously. That simply isn’t going to happen and even if it did, there is nothing helpful that EU could or would offer. Backstop and divorce bill are part of the deal, or there’s no deal at all.
May blathers that House of Commons is ‘fulcrum of democracy’ - which must be why she’s done her utmost to frustrate or bypass MPs for the last 3 years. Truly, she is beyond shame.

There’s a point which often comes up: that you can’t say voters were lied to. I understand why, but fact remains a vast number of lies were told. Leave lied about £350m, lied about a dividend for NHS, lied about Turkey joining. Many believed them.
How many people who supported Iraq war still do now? I don’t know any ex-supporters who feel shame in admitting they were lied to. It’s the job of leaders to inform us so we can build opinions & make decisions. If they deliberately mislead, that’s a verdict on them, not us.

1) Why is Corbyn Pro #Brexit?
Because he wants to nationalise major industries, the so called "commanding heights", & needs Brexit, in particular hard Brexit, to do so

Which in turn means he's not at all bothered about economic hardship following that hard Brexit
2) I wrote this Blog 2 years ago and it was ridiculed at the time by Corbyn supporters who thought it was an unfounded smear attempt

2) EU leaders will invite Theresa May to tell them what’s going on in the U.K, what her next steps will be and what she hopes for from them at their scheduled EU summit on Weds and Thursday this week #Brexit
3) EU v much wants to avoid a no-deal scenario but EU leaders unlikely to provide even written clarifications on controversial #Brexit issues like the backstop to help the PM unless they get a pretty cast iron guarantee that will get the deal through Parliament in a second vote

The Brexit vote was against our London-centric system. So if there's an economic hit because of a Brexit London voted against, Westminster would make sure the London Banking sector survived but everywhere else...
Many of the problems that pushed people to vote Brexit had nothing to do with the EU. One of those problems was the government choosing to protect the banks who caused the crash with bailouts while ordinary people just got austerity.
The rich took irresponsible risks with the country's future, but they were protected either by moving their money away or by the government and it was those with least who suffered the most.
