Oh good. Another Buzzfeed take. Yes, Phillips creates a confrontation, got in a kid’s face with a drum, and then went to the media to lie about every aspect of what happened and repeatedly smear a bunch of HS kids.

This guy behaved horribly, then lied repeatedly to the press. He smeared these kids in every way possible (accused them of being hateful, racist etc) knowing they’d have trouble responding (bc they are kids!!!).
And media’s takeaway a day later is he’s still the victim. #SMH

One part of the whole thing that few have mentioned but still bugs me is ending: kids walked away, then Phillips’ grandson (who had told the kids to “go back to Europe”) started screaming “we won” as Phillips and others cheered as if it was all a game.
