Mueller has brought charges against four of President Trump's top associates, and each time the charges have revealed new efforts to conceal efforts related to Russia's interference in the 2016 election. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…

Michael Cohen, President Trump's personal attorney, pleaded guilty to lying about the duration of efforts to build a Trump Tower in Moscow, which continued throughout much of the 2016 campaign.

Michael Flynn, Trump's first national security adviser, pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about conversations with a Russian diplomat about lifting sanctions the government had imposed in retaliation for the election interference.

Paul Manafort, Trump's campaign chairman, has been accused of lying about his contacts with a Russian associate allegedly tied to the GRU. His lawyers inadvertently revealed that among the lies Mueller thinks he told was one about sending him polling data. usatoday.com/story/news/pol…

And now Mueller has charged longtime Trump adviser Roger Stone with lying to Congress about his interactions with WikiLeaks, which published the emails Russia hacked; and with the Trump campaign.

And that doesn't include the charges Mueller has filed against George Papadopoulos, a foreign policy aide to the campaign, about outreach from someone he thought was a Russian offering "dirt" on Clinton. Or the charges against Manafort deputy Rick Gates.

Whether the conduct Trump's associates sought to conceal was itself a crime remains to be seen. But prosecutors have alleged an extensive series of lies, and a campaign intensely interested in benefiting from the Russian hacking.
