NASA: Huge cavity discovered in Antarctic Thwaites glacier, signalling rapid decay – most of the 14 billion tonnes of ice melted over the last 3 years. climate.nasa.gov/news/2838/huge…
About the size of Florida, Thwaites Glacier is currently responsible for approximately 4% of global sea level rise. It holds enough ice to raise the ocean by 65 cm and backstops neighboring glaciers that would raise sea levels an additional 2.4 meters if all the ice were lost.
As @GretaThunberg said in Davos:
I want you to act as you would in a crisis. I want you to act as if our house is on fire. Because it is.
PS Favorite reply from climate confusers: "But, there's volcanoes there!". Used in the same way as "But there's the sun, so CO2 can't be the cause of global warming".
Climate scientists aren't that stupid, though.

And this is where the Thwaites glacier is located. From: bbc.com/news/science-e…
While, for our low-lying country by the sea, these dark clouds are developing on the horizon, a rightwing newspaper here runs a daily campaign against the Dutch national Climate Agreement, the plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 49% by 2030. Irresponsible.
