I just heard a company plans to do a thing I'd been asking for for a long time. Such a great way to end the week, and makes my persistence feel worthwhile. A mentor of mine once explained to me the importance of having a stump speech 1/4
This is just some key points you repeatedly state in every interaction with a group of people. In his case, it was every time he talked to execs at our company, he would mention these points. 2/4
Some of these were messaging so they knew our value, but some were asks, because you never knew who could fulfill it. As a young engineer, I felt every conversation I have should be new, and not repetitive, and that people would remember what I said and route requests I had. 3/4
I've made this ask many times to this company with no traction, but finally it sounds like I said it to the right person, or they just got tired of me asking for this. :) 4/4
