Video from 2013 shows Dem. rep @IlhanMN blaming victims of jihadist attacks for their countries’ involvement in “other people’s affairs.” She made the comment just after the Somali terror attack on the Nairobi mall that killed 70 people & injured 200. 
In Minnesota, a number of jihadists from the Somali refugee community have been convicted for their ties to jihadist movements, namely the brutal Somali group Al Shabaab. In 2016 Ilhan Omar asked a Minnesota judge for leniency for a group of Somali men who tried to join IS.
These cases are not restricted to Minnesota. In Portland, OR, a Somali refugee man’s plan to detonate explosives at a Christmas tree-lighting ceremony in downtown was foiled in 2010. I remember that Muslim advocacy groups blamed authorities for entrapment. oregonlive.com/portland/index…
