I suggest you revisit this decision, now.

Unfortunately, we have been in a civil war of sorts for the past few years.
And once again, the root of the issue is human slavery.

But this time, it's not just those of African descent... it's black, white, hispanic, asian.
It's boys & girls.
& It's just not for domestic or field labor.

It's sex.

It's sex with children.
It's the sale and trafficking of children and women.

It's those who are poor, and those who had hope for a better life.
And those who profit enjoy the highest statuses in society - positions of power and wealth, built on profits from the suffering and abuse of others.

And yachts. And drugs. And guns.
It's all a perverse interplay of predation for profit.

Here's an idea: if you go to a 'sex worker' who is unable to communicate with you because of a language barrier...

You're not actually getting consent.
You're ignoring if they say NO.

And you're certainly not confirming they're of legal age.

Up the charges. Coerced = rape.
And there's no way they don't know that there's a communication barrier.

It doesn't make it an excuse.

If there's a language barrier, they're knowingly complicit in a sex trafficking operation.
And... it's been public knowledge since 2015.

Okay, so. At about 2:00 PM I'm going to do a thread (continuing off this one if you want to like/bookmark/tab it) about Trump's AP interview from earlier this week.
I've made no secret of the fact that I see limited value in interviewing a reflexive liar but as long as people are doing it, I am going to wring every drop of meaning out of them that I can.
For those who haven't followed me long and don't know what I actually do here, I'm *not* a fact checker. That takes skills and resources I don't have. What I have is a very particular set of skills, skills honed over a long career of picking words apart and putting them together.

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

I can share that today we're adding another POC to the library staff and I'm so happy because he's Latinx and because I was on the hiring committee. Our top two candidates were POC so I was thrilled that whomever we chose, they would be a POC.
