Unlike Victoria her constituents in Louth & Horncastle voted overwhelmingly to #LEAVE EU by 69.4%.

Victoria stood at the 2017GE on a @Conservatives manifesto promise the UK would #LEAVE EU, SM & CU.

Her majority is 19,641

Over 41,000 people in Louth & Horncastle voted #LEAVE in #EURef

Over 7.000 more than voted for Victoria in 2017

Word is that a great many people were calling for Victoria Atkin's deselection at a packed meeting of Leavers for Lincolnshire at the Bull Hotel in Horncastle last night.

Issue isn't the total collective campaign spending, it’s about who broke the law & how. #Remain campaigns were fined for failing to submitting returns correctly. Swing away from #Leave is widespread and happening broadly across the UK, specifically in England, Wales, Cornwall and the North. Overall estimated level of support for Leave is 6 percentage points lower across UK, but masks significant heterogeneity. 2/
We follow similar approach as in earlier work with @essobecker and @DennisNovy to decompose the geographic variation to identify which factors are capturing the variation across the UK in the swing away from #Leave to #Remain.... 3/

A lot of #remain ers don't really understand the situation they are facing on Twitter, they see an online debate where #Leave and #Remain put their points forward and whoever has the best logic wins.

That isn't what's happening. At this point #Leave (left or right) don't need to convince people of anything, they don't need to win debates.

All they need to do to win is to stop #Remain from reaching people and the tactics they are using are designed to do that.

Those tactics are to distract, discredit & disrupt Remain attempts to convince people.

They use name calling & insults. This is to discredit #Remain.

Also they hope to goad Remainers into an emotional response so they appear overly motivated and therefore less convincing.

Among reasons for opposing Brexit is UK's unpreparedness for such a huge change! Unless we stop this now, the purported benefits may be less than pre-sold? and the warned downsides may well be worse? If either or both? our public finances could implode under self-imposed strain.
Consider UK's low productivity relative to our G20 peers - well publicised but poorly understood? Improving 'this' over a sustained period would surely have been preferable pre-requisite prior to anything as profound as Brexit!
Look at UK's ballooning national debt, which has 'more than quadrupled' since John Major left office in 1997. Ask any ordinary Jo if they'd fancy racking up such a huge mortgage? (ours is £2 trillion) before resigning a job to venture into business on their own!
