Louise & David Turpin are in court waiting for judge to take the bench. The Perris couple is accused of imprisoning & torturing 12 of their 13 children for years. #Turpin I'll be live tweeting.

Judge is on bench here we go.
Judge is asking the Turpins to answer his questions out loud. "Did you review the documents? Are these your signatures? Both answer yes.
Both are pleading guilty.
Louise & David #Turpin have accepted a plea deal. This means they will not have to go to trial. Their children will not have to testify.
Judge is reading through counts they are pleading guilty to. The max sentence is life in prison. Possible parole in seven years.
Reading through legal conditions of agreement. He will now go through each count one by one.
Louise Turpin pleads guilty to first count and wipes away tears. Her responses are barely a whisper. #Turpin
They have plead guilty to 39 counts. The judge is reading the first three letters of each victim's name.
The prosecution is now asking the Turpins to respond to his questions. They are answering yes to falsely imprisoning, causing pain & bodily injury to each of the victims.
Prosecution has wrapped up.
Sentencing will take place at a later date. April 19th is the date set.
April 19th will be when victim impact statements will likely be heard. Court is now adjourned.
Correction: the Turpins plead guilty to 14 counts total.

CORRECTION: 25yrs to life in prison. After serving 7-years to life for first portion of their determinant sentence its moves to 25-years to life for their in-determinant sentence. They will be eligible for a parole hearing after 25yrs due their age under CA elder parole law.
