1) I haven't believed in "overturning" the #Brexit vote for legal reasons, could be skewed as the "Elites cancelling Brexit"

But the fact remains, the courts just agreed that it wasn't a proper, "legal" vote
If it *had* been, it would have been cancelled for illegal spending

2) so when @JohnMannMP @CarolineFlintMP and other Labour MPs attack Labour's new position they are defending an essentially illegal & corrupt vote that only avoided being cancelled for massive Leave overspending & collusion *by a technicality*

@JohnMannMP @CarolineFlintMP 3) just consider that
Parliamentarians, defenders of our democracy, are saying we must respect a vote which by any measure would have been cancelled *IF* they and other MPs had actually set it up properly as a legally binding vote

@JohnMannMP @CarolineFlintMP 4) it's bad enough that the #Brexit vote has absolutely no legal standing whatsoever, in @thatginamiller 's original A50 case it essentially was treated in court like it didn't exist and it had no bearing on the case

But I could live with that

@JohnMannMP @CarolineFlintMP @thatginamiller 5) however, the fact that that the Brexit votes gossamer nature as "Advisory only" means that it cannot be cancelled by the courts *even though it was won illegally* is shameful

Cheating is fine in our democracy, as long as you make a vote binding *politically* but not *legally*

@JohnMannMP @CarolineFlintMP @thatginamiller 6) and Labour MPs continue to defend the referendum, something they know to be "illegal" in every moral sense, just to get the #Brexit they want
