Quoth your piece: “These [Russian] strategists are quick to reference previous conflicts such as Iraq, the [US/NATO] bombing campaign in the Balkans that led to the early 1990s dissolution of the Yugoslav republic”
Wait, what?
OK, let's try some #facts:
Tito’s Yugoslavia (SFRJ) dissolved in APR 1992, replaced by fake/rump “Yugoslavia” (Serbia + Montenegro) which survived until 2006 (though only as "Yugoslavia" until 2003).
REALITY: The first NATO bombs didn’t fall on the former Yugoslavia until APR 1994 (limited strikes in Bosnia against Bosnian Serb forces) and there was no US/NATO serious bombing until Operation DELIBERATE FORCE in SEP 1995.
Any and all US/NATO bombing in the former Yugoslavia occurred after that country ceased to exist. To assert that Western bombing caused Yugoslavia's collapse isn't just utterly ahistorical bunk, it's a rancid Kremlin lie.
