1/ Rep. Nadler's new "turbocharged" probe is billed as "potentially posing the biggest threat to date to [Trump's] presidency." I think it actually shows Dems doubling down on a "Resistance" that subordinates policy battles to futile partisan warfare. theatlantic.com/politics/archi… 
2/ The motive is obvious, IMO: Dems have not done serious self-reflection since Trump beat them, & instead latched on to a Trump-Russia conspiracy theory that hasn't panned out. So what to do? As Mueller winds down, launch new probes to keep stringing liberals along.
3/ “turbocharged” & “supercharged” may sound impressive, especially if you like cartoons & toy ads, but what's the actual “big threat” to Trump? Well: "Several lines of inquiry that have been examined intensively by federal and congressional investigators for the past two years."
4/ So in short, Nadler is pursuing "lines of inquiry" that have already been pursued. That's why many of its witnesses have "already testified", and also why "none of the witnesses were hit with completely new document requests that haven’t been asked of them before." Boom?
5/ Maybe Nadler (& Schiff) will uncover something Mueller, FBI, & SDNY missed. But I doubt it, & think it’d be a mistake to put our hopes into Democratic elites who have every motive to put our hopes elsewhere after two years of putting them in the probes they want to replace.
