I'm not thrilled by some of Rep. Omar's phrasing, but what really offends me is the double standard she's being held to as a Muslim woman and a Democrat. A lot of elected Republicans have said a lot worse. There are goddamn Nazis in the WH. FFS.
Republicans *love* to act offended by real or imagined bigotry by Democrats. House Democrats and the press are playing right along by holding Omar to a higher standard than Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan.
Seriously, look at this bullshit. 
Damn straight. We should hold Republicans to the same standard we expect from Democrats. I'm sick of the GOP getting a pass because of the soft bigotry of low expectations.
For years I've watched the far right pretend to care about one minority group in order to bash another. Justify their Islamophobia with a sudden concern for the LGBT community or women's rights. When they talk about anti-Semitism, they're just using me as a human shield.
