Count the number of women standing as candidates or elected to office, speaking at events & writing articles.

Challenge parties, organisers and media outlets when they are not representative.

No one should miss out on education because they can’t afford sanitary products.

So buy extra when shopping & donate to a foodbank.

And write to your MP to ask them to support girls all across the UK getting free sanitary products in schools, colleges & unis.

If you have children, ask their school what they are doing to ensure their pupils have access to quality, LGBT-inclusive education about sex & relationships, covering consent, fertility, contraception, and the lifecycle of reproductive health, including menopause.

If you’re a dad, be open and talk about about your role as a father.

Tell others what you do and what you love about it. If more dads did that, it would help people see parenting as something men do, rather than something only for women.

Sit at the table. If you are a woman, just do it. If you’re chairing a meeting, invite women to do it.

And if a woman makes a point you agree with, repeat it and credit her, so it doesn’t get lost

Complain about ads that perpetuate gender stereotypes. Making a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority is simple & you can share on social media too. asa.org.uk

If there is a gender gap in your local sports club, why not set up a new team yourself? Or get more girls & women you know to try new sports or activities #ThisGirlCan
