I was wondering if today's verse would fit into a Tweet. How about that? There've only been a few so far that required more than one. I really do find that interesting. I'm confident that Master Sun, just like @realDonaldTrump, would be tweeting today were he here.

This is quite possible the single most famous of all verses. Anyone who studies Master Sun knows it. Most, however, in my experience are merely inspired by it, and do NOT believe he is speaking literal truth here. He's kind of coaching, not actually teaching, if you will.

I hope it's obvious already that I disagree with a loose reading, here. I believe in Master Sun's analysis, completely. I suspect he had the data to prove it, and the scientific value system to place the data in front of his own thinking. I have no evidence to prove that, though.

I have no data outside the book itself. Yet, when we listen, how do we fail to hear a scientific voice speaking with scientific confidence. Know yourself and your enemy, you'll always win. Yourself alone, you get 50%. Know neither, you always lose. Sounds scientific to me.

I'll go further. I crunch down the scientific method into two words: failure analysis. And, I believe that failure analysis is rooted in combat, where winning or dying is the ultimate binary. You defeat your enemy, or you are defeated. No one needs to set a goal. It's automatic.

With the automatic goal of living in place, a black and white line separating failure from success with no budge, no fudge and no marmalade either, the mind is alerted, awakened. When you're the leader, and even though you won, you lost men you loved, that too is a failure.

You won the battle, but you lost your greatest warrior. Success/defeat. They're both crystal clear. You're not done with the war yet. You face another battle. Will you lose more great warriors? How long can that go on? Analysis occurs, automatically.

Who remembers verse 3:3, the definition of ultimate excellence in war? "Ultimate excellence lies not in winning every battle but in defeating the enemy without ever fighting." Who, like me, takes Master Sun at his word, literally? Famous as today's verse is, it isn't excellence.

Master Sun would be at the DOD today, not State. But he'd prefer winning via State than by risking even a single soldier on the battlefield. Oh, wait till chapter 13 (or don't, go ahead and read it now!) and you'll see how much he'd love CIA. But I digress.

In #MAGA, we know ourselves, but we don't know our enemy. If we did, we'd not have lost the House in 2018. We may not even know ourselves all that well. How many Republicans gave up their seats? In the first two years, how many times did Republicans side with Democrats?

I have to remark again, why did all but 23 Republicans vote yes on the recent bill put forward against hate, in order to distract away from Congressman Omar? We're kind of idiots. We should confess. Not one Republican should have voted for that disgusting bill. Idiots. Sorry.

It's obvious, though, that we just don't know our enemy. At all. Can you assure me that the Bush family didn't vote for HRC? McCain was a Republican? How's that? He wasn't. Yet we put him forward in 2008. He was the enemy, and we did not know him.

Both in 2016 and 2018, Trump knew himself and his enemy and he won both times. He couldn't fight for the House, it wasn't his battle, so he didn't. He fought for the Senate, and he won. I think there can be no question that he is 100% Sun Tzu qualified.

This verse, more than any other, is why I study the Communist Manifest, Alinsky's Rules, and most recently, the scary brilliant works of Mao Tse Tung. I haven't caught reading Lenin and Trotsky and their cohorts yet, but I will. The key writings of the left from 1848 forward.

You, on the other hand, should read Tom Paine's Common Sense, and my book in order to know MAGA, in order to know ourselves. What we stand for, why, its roots and its future.

It's really so simple, but not easy to do. 1) Know yourself. 2) Know your enemy.

If we layer excellence and strategy in, we get the rule: Win without fighting.

Heaven is strategy, earth is tactics. Follow the way, and be sure you discipline the troops with excellent command.

This is the final verse of chapter 3. I won't review where we've been any further, but you should. That is, once you complete your studies of chapter 3, you should return to chapters 1 and 2. It'll be almost as if you never read them before. Master Sun flows forward and backward.

Chapter 2 may stand a bit more on its own, but chapter 1 really does require both chapters 2 and 3 to truly unpack. Please, get used to this. Again and again, Master Sun's next revelation builds on top of all that came before, while revolutionizing your previous understanding.
