Trump “stunned the world and shocked the conscious of this nation” when said his “both sides” comments after Charlottesville. Biden is animated, voice is raised.
“At that moment, I knew the threat to this nation was unlike anything I have seen in my lifetime.” Talking about Trump’s “embrace of autocrats.” The spread of the phrase “fake news.”
“A free press, an independent judiciary ... the more you weaken the power of these intimations ... the more power rises for the presidency. Folks, we better wake up to what’s happening.”

says he stopped on the way here today and gave money to someone begging for it. “It’s who we are.”
Talking about “invisible fabric that holds the nation together and it’s being shredded.”

A lot of straight Trump criticism here. Now saying Trump didn’t help people he promised to, namely the middle class.

Just promised you’d hear “a lot more” like that from him. Just another wink/nod to his presidential run.
“Show me your budget and I will tell you what you value.” This is an old Biden line, but it got fresh applause.
Cut 2.7 billion from EPA “at the very moment we’re at an existential crisis.” Cut 8.8 billion in education “at a time when we realize 12 years” of education isn’t enough to lead the world. He’s ripping Trump’s budget proposals.
“These cuts are driven by the same thing ... they’d rather reward the super weathly and hope something tickles down than help anybody else.”
“Folks, as I said, we’re living in the battle for the soul for America.”
Says he’s more optimistic now than he ever has been. “I can feel and taste what’s going on. Everywhere I went there was an insatiable desire — for Republicans as well as Democrats — for women of character in public office.”

No surprise he didn’t announce a run, but his speech was a campaign speech in all but name. He charged his people to be active and proud and attacked Trump. His speech is over now. Expect another soon.
