1/ Politicalite is a new fake news site that whips up #Islamophobia, demonises migrants, and promotes Stephen Yaxley-Lennon (AKA Tommy Robinson). #SFFN

2/ Along with Yaxley-Lennon, Politicalite defended the leaders of Britain First, convicted for religiously aggravated harassment, after they reportedly screamed “paedophile” & “foreigner” at innocent people in their homes who they wrongly claimed were sex offenders. #SFFN

3/ Polticalite publishes articles originally hosted on InfoWars, an alt-right conspiracy theorist website which has claimed 9/11 & school shootings in the USA were “false flags,” the government controls the weather & promoted the infamous “pizzagate” theory. #SFFN

4/ Like Alex Jones, Polticalite’s editor was once temporarily banned from Facebook, after accusing Muslims in general of murdering gay people and women. We know this because Politicalite then published the story, although it’s now been deleted. #SFFN

5/ Politicalite has a thing for prominent muslims. When the Home Secretary Sajid Javid received a “punish a Muslim day” letter, they claimed he was lying & elsewhere labelled him “token minority.” They’ve also published 49 negative articles on Sadiq Khan #SFFN

6/ Politicalite responded to the #Christchurch terrorist attack by attempting to argue that the terrorist was actually left-wing, rather than far-right, despite all the evidence to the contrary. #SFFN

7/ When it’s not spreading fake news, it’s copying real journalists’ work. According to Buzzfeed’s @MarkDiStefano, Politicalite’s most viral story of 2018 was lifted almost word-for-word from a Sunday Mirror article. #SFFN

8/ They may not be well known yet, but Buzzfeed describes Politcalite as “one of several new hyperpartisan websites which continue to get huge audiences on Facebook.” You can help prevent it profiting from its hateful fake news. #SFFN
