Ignore Republicans is my point.
It's falsehood laundering.
Cable news won't tell you the objective truth to believe. It's a capitalist venture. You're the customer. They fill the market with Truth Products. YOU decide.
Trump was inevitable.
Example: There is a report. It contains the findings of an investigation that led to indictments and convictions of Trump's key staff, his campaign manager, and his personal attorney, who implicated Trump of federal crimes in open court and before Congress.
When it was exposed, they merely retrenched to a new lie, until that lie was exposed.
The process repeated itself many many times.
That is a fact.
I think he will, too.
Because whatever's in the report, Republicans are going to say it 100% vindicates the president—an impossibility, even given what we know already.
And our news is going to launder that lie for them.
The main context of this story are these two truths:
1) The investigation led to arrests and convictions and damning testimony; 2) the pattern of lies—and they were LIES
As long as it was operational it could only be laundered into a persecution narrative rather than an exoneration myth.
There are excellent journalists doing thankless dangerous hard work, and they are doing it well, in the outlets that are available.
But most outlets will table their excellent work alongside pure nonsense, one product among many.
One "side" will say it's a partisan witch hunt. The other will note the pattern of lies, arrests, convictions, testimony.
The capitalized fourth estate will just shrug its shoulders and point to the menu.
Truth Product for sale.
YOU choose.
Don't debate it
Debating elevates the nonsense to the level of truth
Ignore Republicans is my point
Then he said no one senior was at the meeting.
Then he said yes but they weren’t talking about hacked info
Then he said ANYONE would talk about hacked info but he didn’t know
Then Cohen said under oath he did know
And they just leave that out.
