Hillary Clinton is more personally responsible for the fraudulent Trump/Russia narrative than is generally appreciated. Recall these deranged talking points, which later became ubiquitous: introduced by campaign manager Robby Mook on ABC, August 21, 2016
Remember, this was around the time Hillary was being more-or-less overtly endorsed by former senior “intelligence” chiefs like Mike Morell, Michael Hayden, John McLaughlin, etc. as well as neocons like Robert Kagan, David Frum, Max Boot, and Paul Wolfowitz
Of course, Hillary also funded the Steele Dossier (then concealed it for 1.5 years) which was later surreptitiously shared with Clinton-friendly reporters like David Corn. The fraudulent Dossier was then cited by the FBI as its basis for acquiring a FISA warrant on Carter Page
Infamously, Hillary cranked the conspiratorial lunacy into high gear when she accused Trump of being Putin's "puppet" at the third debate on October 19. This false notion (that Trump was compromised) fueled the next 2.5 years of hysterical media coverage and Democratic theatrics
Then within 24 hours of her loss (according to the book "Shattered," the definitive inside account of her campaign) Team Hillary decided that "Russia" would be the explanatory narrative they'd push, and most of the media fell in line without applying even basic critical scrutiny 
And so, the events set into motion by Hillary's craven conspiracy-mongering dominated US politics for nearly 3 years -- doing irreparable damage to the body politic, and ultimately empowering Trump. The depravities inflicted on the country by the Clintons never seem to stop
