What brexit demonstrates is an entitled class had been ignoring huge swathes of the population for a long time and someone worked out how to communicate with them ->
... the real lesson from brexit should be that it is not a good idea to continuously ignore large parts of the population just because you're doing fine. It is a society after all.
Oh, and if you want engagement with a wider society then telling people they were fooled, lied to, racist, bought and voted the wrong way without any actual discussion of why is just going to reinforce that entitled moniker ...
... a better option would be to start with acknowledgement and a grovelling apology for the horrendous inequality, deprivation of oppprtunity and bias towards wealth created over many decades.
