An interesting observation related to percentage share of having 1 Bitcoin with respect to Gold.

Owning just 1 Bitcoin will give you 0.0000047619% share of the total supply. There will never be more than 21 million Bitcoins. So, your percentage of total supply will never change regardless the price of Bitcoin in USD.

Bitcoin is known as the digital gold. So, lets do a small comparison.

Total estimated gold in the world: 190,000 tonnes.

To have same share of gold in total gold supply of having 1 Bitcoin, you must have 9.04 Kilograms. That is 371,923$ in todays value.

Total market cap of Gold is 8 Trillion USD and Bitcoin is at 92 Billion USD. Total Bitcoin market cap today is only 1.15% of total gold market cap. 1.15% is a tiny fraction of the total potential value when Bitcoin gets mainstream.

If #Bitcoins market cap will one day equal to the Gold, you will just need 0.11 Bitcoin to have the same value as 1 kilo of gold. Which is just 572$ at todays price. Having 1 Bitcoin (5200$) will give you the value of 9.04 Kilos of gold. Still think you are late?

Soon the world will realise the value of digitally scarce, easily stored, un-inflatable, borderless, permissionless and un-confiscatable asset. The potential upside is huge.

Yes, it is a very new and risky asset. But if you have few $ to spare, and investing 15$ in Bitcoin every week could get you to the 0.11Btc in under 6 months to have the same share as 1 kilo gold.

Consider Bitcoin as having an insurance. Even owning a fraction of it could make a huge difference in 5-10 years down the line and having a full Bitcoin might be extremely difficult.
