I obviously blame McConnell. But nothing more than electoral strategy and a known propensity to appease with “bipartisan-ness” stopped Obama from going ahead and ordering a disclosure. So I blame Obama, too. He, as much as McConnell, missed the crucial duty to warn.
And WTF was Obama doing seeking McConnell’s consent, or even acquiescence, to warn America that a criminal mobster with ties to Russia was in our midst? He was worried it would “look bad”? Dude, that’s for tan suits, not for existential threats to democratic self-governance.

(As an aside, don’t you wonder what @MichelleObama thought of Barack’s decision not to warn us? Did they consult? If not, did she give him a piece of her mind later?)
