We downloaded tweets from the last 10 days containing "Q sent me" or "Q sent us", resulting in 2153 tweets from 1560 accounts. What's up with the spike on 4/18?
1992 (92.5%) of the 2153 "Q sent me/us" tweets are either replies or retweets of replies. 1076 of those are to @SaraCarterDC, all but five of those are replies to a tweet on 4/18 linking an article about the Mueller investigation, accounting for the spike.
Zooming in, it becomes evident that the "Q sent me/us" replies to @SaraCarterDC's tweet spiked very quickly, but the activity didn't start until an hour after her tweet. What triggered the surge of tweets?
Likely answer: an 8chan post from #QAnon (allegedly) linking @SaraCarterDC's tweet posted 2 minutes before the "Q sent me" tweetstorm. #TheyComeRunningJustAsFastAsTheyCanCauseQFansAreCrazyBoutTheChanceToSpam
Has this sort of thing happened before? Many times. To date there have been 21 "Q sent me/us" tweetstorms consisting of 1000 or more tweets, as well as numerous smaller ones.
