ACT: Cyber Crimes Act, 2015.

TERM: Cyber Identity Fraud

APPLICABLE SECTIONS : 14 (2) and 22 (3)

any person that fraudulently impersonates another person with an INTENT to gain advantage to himself or some other person is obtain any property or interest and cause disadvantage to the person being impersonated is guilty... punishable with 5 years imprisonment or a fine of 7MIL

14 (2) of the Act provides that “Any person who with intent to defraud sends electronic message materially misrepresents any fact or set of facts upon which reliance the recipient or another person is caused to suffer any damage or loss........
