Last week, the Epoch Times was one of the top political advertisers on Facebook, paying to promote dozens of pro-Trump videos. The mysterious paper spent more than everyone except Biden and Trump himself.

2. 8chan is owned by Jim Watkins, a pig farmer in the Philippines. Watkins avoids a lot of the problems other racist sites run into by providing most of 8chan's services, including domain hosting, through his own company, NT Technology.

3. But it's still expensive to run a website. You need to pay for servers, bandwidth, and staff. So Watkins needs an outside source of cash.

So he operates a number of other websites through NT Technologies.

2. This is now THREE NYT stories on a narrative created out of whole cloth by Giuliani.

Will this prompt any introspection? Doubtful.

It's likely that there will be another NYT story when Giuliani reschedules the trip later
3. The standard that's been established is that anytime Giuliani says something about Biden or Ukraine, true or false, it should be printed on the front page of the NYT

Incoming: Friday afternoon #Facebook / #GDPR tweetstorm, because this week has been pretty deflating for us #privacy wonks.

If you're European, you probably got an email from FB this week, with this subject line:

"X, please accept our updated Terms by May 25 to continue using Facebook."

Now, let's talk about how non-compliant that subject line is. It suggest that failing to accept the new terms will result in account suspension. That's a problem.
#GDPR requires consent to be "freely given" and says that services can't be withheld just because the consumer doesn't consent to ALL THE TRACKING.

The last line of the email is "Please go to Facebook to review and accept the Terms" which reinforces the subject line threat.
