So I was watching @TimesNow for the last hour and what I witnessed can best be described as, "LIVE news spinning". Plain bizarre.

Allow me to explain in a #thread what I witnessed.
It started with them showing a video from West Bengal, full of masked gun-toting men. They announced this video was from Purulia and let the panelists go at Mamata Banerjee & WB Government a bit.

You know, violent state, dictatorial, disturbing visuals etc. etc.
Next up they moved on to PM Modi's Khan Market jibe. Much was being said about how Modiji is NOT elite, so he gets cursed so much by the elite for being a non-Khan-Market-outsider types.

Poonawala brothers had a fight about the elite congress family culture, of course.
Then Tehseen started comparing dynasty with Sangh Parivar. Suddenly, Navika Kumar jumps in and says the point is weird because Times Now Parivar is like the Sangh Parivar! It's not about a family, unlike the Congress.

Eh! That was just... OK anyway. Then a sudden BREAKING NEWS.
Remember that video they showed earlier? Gun toting men from West Bengal? Yeah. Turns out, that was fake. In flat five minutes, they explain how the video is actually from Jharkhand & going viral in West Bengal to spread misinformation.

And just like that, they casually move on.
Next, Navika Kumar moves on to discuss Sam Pitroda's "1984 Hua toh Hua" comment. Out of the blue. No idea why.

Now the panelists are obviously all participating in ALL of this. They keep making comments too. The discussion morphs back to Khan Market again.

Because why not?
Now it's Nishant Verma's turn for air time. He says actually PM Modi is also elite because he chills with Ambani & Adani. To this, Shehzad Poonawala takes much offense, pulls out his phone and says, "THIS IS ELITISM HAAN?"

It's a picture of Modi's mum getting out of an auto.
Shehzaad is like, "Unlike others who travel in black Range Rovers, look at her! This is elitism of Narendra Modi?!"

Nishant Verma continues to make his point, obviously, about how businessmen are also elite. But Navika is like no no no no we are talking about ELITE CULTURE, OK?
Then a panelist again jumps in with Sam Pitroda, because why not, and accuses Times Now of making a big thing out of just three words that were said. Hua Toh Hua.

Navika is like accha you say we lie or what wait you watch this full video only. Then the clip is played.
Navika smirks and says, see? We didn't twist anything!

Now the panelist is like, yeah but I always said what Sam Pitroda said was wrong only!

Navika is overjoyed. AHA! No you didn't! Now U-turn only?! Aha!

Now they have to take a break because kaafi time se no ads only.
Navika says, "When we return, we will talk about how Sam Pitroda personifies and represents this Khan Market HUA TOH HUA culture."

YES. She just bundled everything that happened into ONE topic and that was it! All of this just happened in ONE hour on @TimesNow.

I'm stunned.
