Tankers carry containment equipment as do major oil ports like Fujairah. You get fined for discharge and this event or the potential for leaks were no mystery. Just like the A. Michel allegedly one of four ships "attacked' with "gaping holes"

Oil spills during routine operations for a single tanker transfer can be 70 metric tonnes so about 519 barrels. Which is exactly half as much as 235 barrel estimate seen as an oil spill related to the "attack" and minuscule re the 175 ships in Fujairah. itopf.org/fileadmin/data…
