This Englishman's delusion, honestly. Can you even call this journalism? The idea that Europe is suddenly going to back down . . .
Shall we think about why that's not going to happen, and why I'm going to keep getting everything right?
The European Union has just seen our prime Minister resign after her complete inability to get the withdrawal agreement through parliament.
Three times.
Don't you understand that her resignation was quite inconvenient for Europe?
It means the person they've been negotiating with for the last two years has now gone.

They negotiated for two years, parliament rejected it three times, and Theresa May resigned.
You've got to be pretty fucking thick to imagine that Europe would watch a prime minister resign, her government collapse, and then suddenly change their mind
There's no excuse for this. None of this is difficult.
The new Tory leader will have no mandate and no authority. Theresa May's deal is dead, and she resigned.
There are exactly three possibilities.

1. Renegotiate the Withdrawal Agreement

2. Leave with no agreement

3. Revoke Article 50
1. Europe says they will not re-open the Withdrawal Agreement.

(Apparently this just cannot penetrate the head of English journalists who are convinced that if an Englishman says renegotiate, then renegotiate is what they will do).
2. Parliament will intervene to prevent a no deal Brexit. They already did that to Theresa May, and she was elected. They'll have no problem doing the same to a Boris-come-lately who hasn't even been tested in a general election yet.
So if Europe is going to refuse the first, and Parliament prevents the second, the only other option is the third.

3. At some point someone is going to revoke Article 50.
Eventually we're going to revoke Article 50 because eventually that's the only choice left.

It doesn't matter how they do it. They can legislate for it, have a referendum about it, or a general election about it.
The point is, we're going to ask for it back because we can't fucking do it. The consequences are just too much.
And I'm saying that maybe parliament and the media both should start preparing people for that so it doesn't come as a complete surprise to them.
