I don't agree with prosecutions of politicians for political speech, but to point out the obvious, even if the prosecution of Johnson for his falsehoods were successful, it would *not* "reverse Brexit".
Saying that this falsehood should not be subject to the criminal law doesn't mean that I think political liars in general - or this one in particular - are "ok". Lies attract different types of possible sanctions depending on the circumstances. Defamation is civil, for instance.
The point is: a) the courts would end up micromanaging the political process, and would swiftly be directly politicised; b) human rights case law rightly protects political speech more than other forms of speech. In a democracy, the sanction for liars is to vote them out.
