Our latest Westminster voting intention has the Lib Dems in first place and the Brexit Party second place, with Labour and the Tories pushed into third:
Lib Dem - 24%
Brexit Party - 22%
Con - 19%
Labour - 19%
Green - 8%
UKIP - 1%
Change UK - 1%
Other - 6%

It is worth approaching the results with caution for now. The Lib Dems are still on less than a quarter of the vote, and their lead above the other three parties is not much beyond the margin of error.
There is also the question of whether such a position is sustainable. The only other occasion we have had the Lib Dems in first place - during Cleggmania in 2010 - the Lib Dem vote share returned to pre-bounce levels by election day

Nevertheless, it is clear that the ever extending Brexit process and Labour's ambiguity have opened up a gap in the market that the Lib Dems are filling. 41% of Remain voters now say they would vote Lib Dem, compared to Labour's 27% yougov.co.uk/topics/politic…

Is it acceptable for men to refer to women as "girls"? Most Brits (58%) think it always or usually is, including 62% of men and 55% of women. But the bigger difference seems to be between generations: 48% of 18-29yr olds compared to 70% of those aged 60+ yougov.co.uk/topics/lifesty…

18% - said they were given too little

Brexit has made being pro-EU or anti-EU is the primary cleavage in British politics.

The Lib Dems have understood it. The Brexit Party has understood it.

The Tories and Labour are struggling still.
Whether it is *desirable* that this is so is another question. Corbyn seems downright annoyed that it is ("We want to talk about ending austerity!" you hear him scream).

But this is the basis on which a forthcoming election will be fought.

Keep on with Brexit or stop it.

Brexit is an absolute shitstorm isn't it .
Back in 2016 I voted leave for what I thought at the time were valid concerns . Mainly over CAP , CFP and the effect on the NHS of the EU possibly implementing TTIP .
Then following the vote your education gets seriously expanded and you learn all manner of new factors such as JIT production lines and WTO rules and tariffs and suchlike and suddenly you think , jesus christ maybe I should have voted remain .
Hardly any of us knew enough about how the EU worked and how the UK would interact with the rest of the world , whether inside or outside the EU , to make a sensible decision over whether to leave or remain back in 2016 .
