On Syria: "The Conference reaffirmed its principled position that the unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity and social harmony of Syria should be maintained and renewed its support for a political solution to the Syrian crisis based on the Geneva Declaration 1 aimed
at establishing a transitional governing body with a joint agreement with full executive powers and Security Council resolution 2254 The implementation of a political transition led by Syria to allow the building of a new Syrian state based on pluralistic democratic and
civil order. The principles of equality prevail before the law, the rule of law and respect for human rights. The meeting affirmed its support for the efforts of the international community to support Syria and the special envoy of the UN for the resumption of the
negotiating process.

The Conference renewed its commitment to confront the humanitarian challenges of the Syrian crisis and to contribute more to the efforts of the international community, particularly the United Nations Organization in this regard."
