Introducing data science, the basics of #rstats programming, and chatting data science education are three of my favorite things to do. Getting to do that with other instructors was such a treat! Thank you to @SDSSconf for the opportunity and to all who attended the workshop!
We had high school educators, community college instructors, and educators of all sorts. Presenting to educators is so delightful that they didn't even start packing up their belongings when I went 6 minutes over. Thank you for being such an engaged & thoughtful audience!
ALSO, I’ve been assuming high schoolers are taught Excel (or Google Sheets). Turns out that assumption is incorrect. 🤯 (just another reminder it’s always important to talk to the other humans and check ourselves.)
