After reading this, your thinking on the brain will not be the same. The thoughts are mine. The words from @nickwarren #tweetstorm cc @subsetharry @kimadele10 @argent_phil @iPerrySimpson @ai_rajsharma @DaveHillman2 @Samlindley9 @CaroleAnnRice @scottkeyser @NikiCassidy @pennypower
#1 - They diagnosed me with #dyslexia when I was 43, but by then it didn’t matter.
#2 - I already knew my brain was different.
#3 - I’d spent 20 years building businesses – seeing things that no one else could see.
#5 - Smart, experienced people had used me to unlock profits, train their teams and scale their growth.
#6 - All because of my different brain. #MDB
#7 - These days I call it my “unfair advantage” – but it hasn’t always been that way.
#8 - My teachers gave up on me because I couldn’t read. They didn’t understand me, but they weren’t alone.
#9 - I didn’t understand myself.
#10 - (At least, I hadn’t yet learned how lucky I was.)
#11 - Because #dyslexia isn’t really a learning disability, it’s different wiring for the brain. And some of it is very, very useful.
#12 - Sure, I create great #typos. And I don’t spend a lot of time reading novels… but that’s okay.
#13 - Because I’m too busy seeing things that other people can’t see.
#14 - The way it works is pretty simple. The same way I got my O levels and my A levels and my degree in #engineering.
#15 - I call it sound-bite learning (#SBL)
#16 - All and Company is a #management #consultancy with a difference. I don’t write puffed-up proposals. I don’t write reams of reports. (Big surprise).
#17 - I come into your business and talk.
#18 - I talk to you, your managers, your clients and your staff. Everything open. Everything on the table. A safe space for hard questions. #SSFHQ #hardquestions
#19 - Believe me, it’s worth it.
#20 - At QXL, I travelled to 13 countries. I talked to everyone, created the operational blueprint, and helped the founders re-engineer their #business. It sold for £946 million.
#21 - For Virgin I travelled the globe. Building their businesses. #BTB Finding new ways to do things. New #profits. New #processes. New #opportunities.
#22 - But WHY? Why does a group worth £5 Billion want a #dyslexic brain?
#23 - The science shows that dyslexically wired brains can be especially good at #3-dimensional #thinking, seeing #connections, telling #stories and figuring out answers with incomplete data. (wired.com/2011/09/dyslex…)
#24 - When I learned that last one it took my breath away - because figuring out #solutions with incomplete data is WHERE I LIVE!
#25 - So this is how it works.
#26 - I ask lots of #questions and #learn about your business. It’s# fast, #focused and #agile.
#27 - We talk about what might be needed. We chase the biggest #question, then choose the smallest #problem.
#28 - That’s how we get #traction.
#29 - This is how we start to roll.
#30 - Step. By step. By step.
#31 - Interested?
#32 - If you aren’t #lucky enough to be dyslexic, give me a call.@WhatsApp 07834 769978 or email phil@allandcompany.com
#33 - And then you’ll have an unfair advantage. #UA
Greatest thanks to @nickwarren … for taking the time to build my story, it's been the most wonderful experience, what happens next? who knows! but #34 could be something very exciting. Love - Adventure - Family
