This is exactly why I think the fiat “backing” is a Trojan horse. He’ll drop the backing as soon as it’s convenient and attempt to make FacebookCoin the global currency of surveillance capitalism, “backed” by all of your private information.

Two rules of thumb I have with Zuckerberg.
1) Don’t underestimate him.
2) Understand that everything he does revolves around a desire to acquire unlimited personal power.

In the very big picture, I believe FacebookCoin is an attempt to formalize and condition the public into embracing government by corporate oligarchy.

Zuck doesn’t want to be President. Think bigger. He wants to be a global feudal lord.

Many in the “crypto” world wrongly see FacebookCoin as a good thing due to a understandable disdain of the state. I get this knee-jerk reaction, but ask yourself, who is banning speech in 2019 America? The state or tech giants? Who will ban your ability to transact in the future?

Zuckerberg wants to do with money and payments what he’s already done with speech.

He wants control of what you can do in the most fundamental areas of human freedom: communications and money. Allowing any person or company this sort of control is absolute insanity.

The only good thing about all of this is we’ve already seen the Zuckerberg playbook and it’s not good. Don’t be naive here, this is a major power play and the ultimate target is human freedom in payments.

I have come to view Mark Zuckerberg as a strategic genius with zero ethics. In other words, he likely has a plan beyond your field of vision and you also can’t take anything he says at face value.

To summarize: FacebookCoin represents a corporate attempt to replace the current financial system after it burns itself out.
