Corbyn to May in Commons just now: "In her view what would be worse: crashing out with no-deal in October or putting the issue back to the people for a final say?"
Pretty clear movement from Corbyn there. Not just the decision to raise it without being forced, but also use of 'final say', which is favoured wording of anti-Brexit groups (polls better).
Ends speech saying: "Whatever plan the new Tory leader comes up with, after three long years of failure they should have the confidence to go back to the people and let them decide the future of this country."
Think that's about as strong as Corbyn has been on it.
The problem in inching towards this destination is that by the time you reach it, people have give up on you. I suspect that point has now been reached.
Although, caveat to the caveat, FPTP system might recalibrate the incentives etc.
Honestly I find it hard to give the remotest shit about Labour policy anymore. It is so unspeakably tedious.
