If we view the #EJeanCarroll sexual assault as a "date rape," everyone gets it. She & Trump were having a jocular, convivial time together, a little flirty, definitely fun. And then he assaults her.
It literally happens every few minutes in America.
Let's not forget that.

#EJeanCarroll didn't want it. She didn't consent. She fought. She's tall--she says she tried to get out of his grasp. But she's slightly built. He's always been solidly built. He caught her off guard when he slammed her head hard against the wall. This is how it happens.

Like the majority of women who have been sexually assaulted, #EJeanCarroll--famous writer--blames herself. At 75 she still doesn't get it's not her fault. She says other women's rapes were worse than hers. This is how we are inculcated to think. To excuse male violence.

I feel bad for #EJeanCarroll. She's smart and funny and her story is a story we have heard so many times from so many women and girls that we have to ask ourselves as a nation, why aren't we angrier that this is happening and there's no justice.
